Black and White Overload

I have a soft spot in my heart for b/w photography. Downtown there is a Burger King built into an old house. Throughout the place are b/w pictures of the town in its younger days. Whenever I happen to be there alone I take the time to look at the pictures and read all the captions. It is fascinating. There is no way I could have just picked one b/w picture to share. So this is officially a picture overload post, LOL!

My daughter (of course):

A self-portrait with my wonderful dear husband:

My nieces:

Friends:

And the occasional flower:

There's something about b/w that strips away anything extraneous and leaves just pure emotion. Today's post is powered by Shutter Sisters. They continue to be a wonderful inspiration to me.
