I really like how you made the background on my picture look so much better. The head doesn't stand out as much. I didn't try any copy and pasting yet. I'll give it a try late today.
Thank you for taking the time to work with my photo.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a detailed comment (wow!) on my post! I've had tons to process!!! LOL! First off, you ask about my ISO, it will go to 3200, then it has a H0.3, H0.7, and H1.0, that is about all I know about it. :) I'm assuming the H stands for high, but don't know anything beyond that. I have been weaning myself off of automatic and on to manual, but it has been a slow process! I did take this picture one handed because baby was fussy and I was bouncing him on my knee for his momma to get a good "happy" shot. I grabbed my camera quick to see if I could help her get one and this is what I got. :) I'm not sure I'm seeing what noise your talking about. Where is it? I opened this pic back up in Elements and found the curves, but I don't think it's the same thing you used. This one was just had sliders, I couldn't actually move the curve with my mouse. I know very little about curves or layers, as far as adding a layer and brightening it up for the background and then earasing the baby back. I've watched some you tube videos and such, but haven't really practiced messing around with any of that yet. Thank you so much for taking the time to mess with my pics and give me some great advice! I really like the vintage toned colors! As for a 50mm 1.8, that has been on my wish list!!! Thanks again!
