My entry for the child’s category is of my nephew. He’s a riot. My parents have chickens and one of them is a rowdy rooster named Horton. DN decided to catch himself in the Horton catcher. This is the only shot I got and I giggle every time I look at it. He did it to himself, LOL!

My adult entry is of my wonderful DH. Usually he avoids my camera like the plague. Holding up his hand, tilting the brim of his cap down, turning his back. You know the drill. But on this particular day he was all about the “False Motivation.” He is so much fun, LOL!

Scott Kelby’s 2nd-Annual Photo Walk

I am so excited about this event. You can read all about it here: Scott Kelby’s 2nd-Annual Photo Walk. I was approved yesterday to lead a walk at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. Just go to here and register if you want to join me. I actually got the urge to go gallivanting yesterday and went up the road to Callaway, just to play with my macro lens. My DD was a wonderful sport. She assisted me in finding some great light and I was able to get some great shots.

It feels really good to be home on a Monday morning. I get to enter the I ♥ Faces weekly contest, and see all the other great entries. What a way to start the week.

Here’s my girl with the neighbor’s puppy. The puppy went to a new home a couple of weeks ago. This is one of the last shots I got of DD and Dora together. I have it on my desktop right now.

Testing Windows Live Writer

I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the form used to edit entries in Blogger. The pictures always load to the top and you have to keep moving things around. And sometimes they don’t go where you want!

So I’m trying out something new .. Windows Live Writer. One thing I’ll say is that when I downloaded the setup execute file there was a whole bunch of things I didn’t want included. So I chose just Windows Live Writer to install.

And now we’re going to add pictures! These are some scrapbook layouts I’ve been working on about DD and my trip to Gatlinburg in May. It was a very good trip :).

So now my first question appears. The pictures went where I wanted, but how do I make them big? Hmmm … lets see. Ah-ha! If you hover the mouse over the picture, then you can select the size to post. Since I resize everything for web a specific way, I chose “original.” Perfect! That could not have been easier :).

I’m very happy so far about Windows Live Writer. Now I need to insert my credits for each layout. I saved those in a Notepad file so it’s just a simple cut and paste. And resize and make italics. Both of which were easy to find how to do.

Oh, and make the screen full size, LOL. I can see everything! So if you blog on a regular basis, you might want to check out Windows Live Writer. Boy is it easier to work with than Blogger’s interface :).

I ♥ Faces: Birthdays and Pets

It's another great week at I ♥ Faces. I was stunned last week with my top 1o finish. I am very happy!!! This week I have to start out with a disclaimer about birthday pictures. I am NOT an event photographer. I'd rather take little random pictures and not focus on an event. I'm not an event scrapper either. Having said that I came across this shot in my archives. This is Gma's birthday. DD shared the task of blowing out the candles. I love their expressions in this shot.
